Our Warhammer tournament needs YOU!
Thus far we've only had THREE signups from Malaysians, while a whopping TEN Singaporeans are coming up for this thing. I know there are more Warhammer gamers out there who said they would come to this August 1st tournament, and we need you guys to blow the dust off your Warhammer armies and sign up!
We want to make this a regular fixture on the Legio Malaysia calendar, and the Warhammer community in Singapore is interested in the idea of hosting another tournament sometime soon down there for us to visit. I'd love to do this!
So, instead of thinking of reasons NOT to go, get your army and sign up! We'd love to fill this tournament up, and we're even going to delay ordering the tshirts so everyone can get a chance to blag a free one. If you're interested and have not yet signed up, post here!

No Legio Hobby Nite tonight
I bring grave news. The Forgemaster-General is really ill and is not able to come to work today. I'm afraid Legio Hobby Nite will have to be canceled for tonight. Really sorry about this, but it's one of those things.
However, since the Forgemaster is ill, there is a possibility that his NZ trip would need to be rescheduled, which would mean hobby night resumes next week. But that's just an outside possibility. We'll keep you posted.
In the meantime, get well soon to the invalid (but not so soon that you're ok to go to NZ :) ).

Register NOW- half the spots are gone already...
I've just heard from Team Singapore, and they tell me that 9 or 10 people are coming up for some Warhammer! I'm really looking forward to meeting this crew, and I'm expecting some great competition and armies from them. I'm sure they'd love to take all the trophies with them back home to Singapore...
So, folks, if you want to be one of the lucky few that will play in Legio Malaysia's first ever Warhammer tournament, and blag the free tshirt that comes with it, you need to registered ASAP. By registering now, you not only ensure that your place is locked in, but you'll also help the tournament organizers get this thing done right, without last minute madness. Sign up TODAY!

Registration has begun for Warhammer tournament
Hola folks!
July has begun, and with it registration for our upcoming Warhammer "Fantasy" tournament. The number of slots for this inaugural tournament is limited, so those wanting to play are strongly encouraged to get their registrations in.
Registration for this tournament ends on Friday, July 17th. Any registrations taken after this point may not receive the free tshirt, and will be only allowed on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, we ask that everyone who wishes to compete and get a free tshirt to register ASAP.
We've also had our first rules pack related question- which I'll answer here...
Can we use Special Characters from sources like Citadel Journal or White Dwarf?
No, I'm afraid not folks. We're only allowing selections from the army books, such as Malekith, Balthasar Gelt, etc. We're trying to keep things simple for this first Warhammer tournament. Who knows, maybe next time...?
Any other questions, please email us or feel free to post a comment to this thread. We're happy to get you sorted out!
Cheers

Hobby Night Tomorrow!
With the upcoming Warhammer tournament, I'm guessing we'll have some folks show up with their WFB armies for much needed practice. I've gotten indications from the Penang and Singapore crowds that they will be sending people to compete, so I'm urging all of the Legion's Warhammer players to practice, practice, practice!
Personally, I have some painting to do tomorrow, so I invite anyone who wants to get some brush work done to join me. I have a new project I want to get started on, and I also want to get some work done on an Unclean model I'm trying to get finished.
For your planning, please note that there will be no Hobby Night on July 17th. I'll be in New Zealand for some Battlefront meetings, so we'll obviously not be opening that day. However, we will be back in action on the 24th so no worries there. As always, I strongly urge all Legionnaires to regularly check the "Wargaming Events" calendar at the bottom of this blog. It has up to date info for all of our scheduled activities and events.
That's about it for this post- take it easy, and I'll see you tomorrow!
