Spore 2009 40k Tournament Rules Pack

That's right! The official Spore 2009 40k Tournament Rules Pack is now available for download at http://scuzworks.com/SPORE/SporeCon%20Tournament%20Pack%20v1.04.pdf

Registration opens this weekend. We're finding out from the organizers what form of payment they accept for registration. Of course, if any of you are going to Singapore, let us know.

So who's going to Spore 2009 for the Glory of Legio?

Notice: The above link is to an amended version of the rules pack that corrects a few omissions. Please consider this new version the official one. They've also posted an FAQ

Be sure you have a read on this one. For instance, this clarifies that the NEW Imperial Guard codex will be the one used for the tournament.

  1. I'm in that's for sure. Will confirm with my brother if he's coming.

  2. Hehe reading the list of mandatory items, one of them is "Your army". Failing to bring that means you're penalized. I think it's bad enough that you can't play without your army, getting penalized as well would really ruin your day :D

  3. That's one nice rules pack!

We will be scheduling a 40K team terrain session for an upcoming Hobby Night TBD. All team members are STRONGLY encourage to attend, or at a minimum produce the terrain piece on your own. For those interested in the terrain night, I'll have A5 sized MDF pre cut and beveled. Let's share ideas and skills, and do our very best to live up to the spirit of this excellent event!

  4. In case I didn't get it across too well, this terrain event is specifically for members of the 40K Legio team. For maximum appearance scores, each player in the Spore 40K tournament should bring a piece of terrain, preferably themed to their army.

Or did I get it wrong, and you're setting aside your Ultras for an Ork army...? ;)

  5. i would like to, but, the orkies seems to be barred from having fun down in spore this year. the ork codex is not listed in the allowed list. sooo sad...i wonder why?

  8. I've just posted on the PI forums, asking about the omission of the Orks. I'll let you all know. Seems strange to me too!

  9. Haha, I guess Orks too powderful or the organizer holds some grudges on the greenies. :)

Anyway, I'll be joining you guys!

  19. Yes, let's go ahead and make April 10th Hobby Night an official "40K and Warhammer Team Meeting". Anyone interested in attending either tournament as a Legio Malaysia team member are strongly encourage to attend. We'll get an idea of how many we have, and we'll also decide what the criteria should be for team members. We can also schedule the team terrain night!
