Well Legionnaires, the Second Season of the Legio Malaysia Warhammer 40,000 league is coming to a close. Lots of games have been played, armies finished, and dice chucked to reach the end. We've also got some news for historical fans, but first let's review the league's current status:
Players have until the end of Hobby Night this Friday to complete their league matches. Only Syamael, Jeff, and Kadir have failed to reach six games up to this point. Get those games in!
According to Legio's records, Khairul A. and Arzmi have completed their minimum six games (or more), but do not have fully painted armies. You all have until the end of Hobby Night to show either Jeff or Azlan your completely painted armies. If you fail to do so, you will not be invited to participate in the Wild Card Tournament. Speaking of...
The Wild Card Tournament is being held at Battlefront Miniatures on Saturday, March 28th at 10:00 AM. This date has been set since we posted the league rules, so we will NOT be changing the date to another time. We apologize if this date doesn't work for you, but we have given everyone two months notice. If you have played at least six games and have a fully painted army (i.e. your stat line is green), please RSVP for the Wild Card Tournament by emailing Legio Malaysia or let us know at the upcoming Hobby Night. All players must RSVP no later than Wednesday, March 25th.
The League Championships will be held on Saturday, April 4th at 10:00 AM. If all four players are unable to make it on this date, we will reschedule for a week later. If all four players are unable to make that one, we will revert to the April 4th date. Anyone who fails to show up by 10:00 AM for the League Championships will automatically forfeit their match. We will determine League Championship seeding after the Wild Card Tournament. All invitees will be emailed and SMSed in an attempt to confirm attendance.
So, that's a wrap for Season 2. We invite comments concerning the scheduling and details of Season 2- feel free to email Legio Malaysia with your suggestions. The league will continue to evolve and hopefully grow. Congrats to all who have been able to participate thus far.
Now, on to a completely different genre- English Civil War!
Hot off the presses of Warlord Games comes a completely new range of miniatures for this very cool and interesting period. They are doing a full, multi part plastics range that looks very impressive, and it's all set to launch at the end of this month. If you're an historical miniatures fan, especially of the ECW, be sure to click on the image above and check out Warlord Games!
That's all for today, folks. Cheers!
This is to confirm my attendance for the Wild Card tourney on the 28th.
ReplyDeleteBut I won't be able to make it on the 4th for the championship due to an exam (if I win the Wild Card slot..)Just a heads up..
You're certainly welcome to compete in the Wild Card tournament, but if the other three finalists can't make the 11th, we're definitely going to run the LC on the 4th. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThe top three contenders for this season is still open, so there's going to be some excitement even on the last day of the league.
ReplyDeleteI should be ok for the wild card tournament, will have to check with my brother in case he has some school activities.
I can come on the 28th, but may only be arriving around 11-12 pm due to work activity in the morning..so, am I still eligible to join or not?
ReplyDeleteYou're more than welcome to come watch or help out, but if you want to play you'll need to get here by 10:00. Sorry dude, but we want this to end at a reasonable time...
ReplyDeleteI'll try my best to be there by 10 then..don't rule out my name yet..
ReplyDeletePike and Shotte! sounds interesting ... Warlord seems to be picking up speed. Historical is a lot more challenging from the business point of view. btw, Jeff, it's season 2 that's coming to a close :)
ReplyDeleteNice catch, Azlan. DOH!

ReplyDeleteSame with me. Should I be fortunate enough to still qualify for the finals, i can't make it on 4th April.
